Unique Squirrel-Themed Chair Available for Sale
A one-of-a-kind chair featuring a squirrel design is up for silent auction, with bidding open until August 19, 2026.
The Jennie Chair, a design by Jennie Alexander, has been given a unique twist by a woodworker who added a purple color scheme and a squirrel theme.
The chair was built in five days and features a sturdy recycled paper seat. The back slats are designed to hug the body and slightly bend with the sitter. The woven seat has a gentle give to it, making it comfortable to sit in.

The chair is finished with a coat of garnet shellac and Soft Wax on top, and the details are painted with acrylic paint from Real Milk Paint. The chair's overall appearance is said to be a unique blend of the layout of the hare and flowers on the Irish chair made earlier this year and the chair's own personality.
The chair is available for purchase via silent auction, with the starting bid being $600. The highest bid will be the price paid, and the price includes crating and shipping anywhere to the lower 48 with no additional charges. Bidding is open until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2026.
