Sanderson Design Group Secures Exclusive Global Rights
Sanderson Design Group has obtained sole global rights to design, manufacture, and sell Designers Guild wallpapers, fabrics, and paint under a 10-year

Sanderson Design Group will distribute Designers Guild products internationally through its established network of designers, wholesale partners and digital channels. The luxury interior furnishings group announced a 10-year licensing agreement for the wallpapers, fabrics, and paint of Designers Guild, a brand founded by creative pioneer Tricia Guild. This partnership creates a new global luxury interiors offering.
Exclusive Manufacturing Rights
The agreement grants Sanderson Design Group sole global rights to design, manufacture and sell Designers Guild wallpapers, fabrics and paint. Designers Guild products developed under the agreement will be manufactured through Sanderson Design Group’s production network. Sanderson plans to immediately replenish existing best-sellers to fulfil demand. An initial stock package will be available shortly on the trade site.
Strategic Brand Integration
The partnership enables Sanderson to leverage Designers Guild's creative heritage while expanding its global footprint through existing production capabilities. Designers Guild is one of the world’s most recognised luxury interiors brands, admired for its rich heritage, distinctive aesthetic, and confident use of colour and pattern. Sanderson Design Group will draw on the brand’s extensive archive and existing collections while creating new products for a global audience.
Lisa Montague, Chief Executive Officer of Sanderson Design Group, stated that Designers Guild makes an excellent addition to the Group’s portfolio of brands, which includes Morris & Co., Zoffany, Harlequin, Clarke & Clarke, Scion and Sanderson. She said the platform includes design expertise, specialist manufacturing and a global distribution network. Montague added that the Group is positioned to take advantage of opportunities as the market evolves and consolidates.
"This Agreement also reflects the significant progress we have made in reshaping and strengthening the Group," Lisa Montague said. She noted that structural changes have created a more focused, resilient and international platform. The agreement is a clear strategic fit with Sanderson Design Group’s business. It was signed a day after Designers Guild's founding company entered administration and ceased trading, a move that resulted in 93 job losses. Dunelm Group PLC has been focused on preserving and developing the future of the Designers Guild brand since its initial acquisition in April 2025. Sanderson's role concerns design, manufacture and sale of the products while Dunelm remains the brand owner.
Production Network Details
Manufacturing will occur at Sanderson's Anstey site in Loughborough and Standfast & Barracks in Lancaster, plus through trusted supplier partners. The production network includes the Anstey Wallpaper Company in Loughborough and fabric printer Standfast & Barracks in Lancaster. Products will also be manufactured through a trusted network of supplier partners.
The partnership's success will be measured by whether future collections feel unmistakably like Designers Guild. Lisa Montague stated that collections will remain true to the brand’s design heritage. She said they will delight the established fan base and introduce new customers. The international network will extend the brand’s reach with customers around the world. The agreement will unlock the global potential of the Designers Guild brand.
